💧 Basic Houseplant Care Tips
Need How to Handle It Light Know your plant’s needs: Low, Medium, or Bright Indirect Light. South-facing windows are brightest.
Water: Most houseplants prefer to dry out a bit between waterings. Avoid overwatering! Humidity Tropical plants (like ferns or calatheas) may need more humidity — misting or a tray of water nearby can help.
Pot & Drainage Use pots with drainage holes. Standing water can cause root rot.
Soil: Use well-draining potting mix. Cacti/succulents need specific sandy soil.
Fertilizer During the growing season (spring/summer), feed monthly with balanced fertilizer.
